Bud Ries

is a Knoxville artist who specializes in painting, printing, and graphic notetaking. His professional focus on sign painting began in 2013 and his work can be seen all across town on and in many local businesses including:

  • Able Trade (Jackson Ave.)

  • Cruze Farm Dairy (Gay St.)

  • Original Freezo (Central St.)

  • Relix Theatre (Central St.)

  • The Standard (Jackson Ave.)

  • Pete’s Restaurant (Union Ave.)

  • Clancy’s Tavern (Gay St.)

  • Brewing & Distilling Center (Bearden Pl.)

  • Stanley’s Greenhouse (Davenport Rd.)

  • Thompson Photo (Middlebrook Pk.)

Bud uses the highest quality paints and products on the market to create vivid signs that are not just attention grabbing but also long lasting to withstand time and the elements. He can replicate and enlarge a pre-existing logo of yours or work with you to create new designs depending on your needs.

In addition to signs Bud also makes banners, temporary window splashes, vinyl stickers, and small run silkscreens. Workshops on all the above are available as well if you are interested in learning how to do these things yourself.

All jobs are different and require custom solutions depending on their size, surface, color, and complexity. But no job is too big or too small to be considered whether it be a billboard, a food truck, or a canvas for your home.
