Here’s a project I completed last summer for Calloway’s Tennessee Kitchen in Maryville, TN. They are a local family owned company that provides fresh and delicious food in convenient locations like this EZ Stop Exxon market. I enjoyed working with them and being a part of the team to get this new location up and running. This was one of the last painting projects I did before leaving East Tennessee and moving to Memphis. It involved completing 4 large hand painted signs all around the outside of the building and one inside as well. When done right, paintings on brick walls have the potential to last a very long time but it requires careful planning and a diligence in the execution due to the gritty, uneven surfaces. There are no shortcuts when it comes down to it but I was fortunate to have the help of my friend and amazing artist, Daniel Craft, to help me get it all done. Big thanks to him and the friendly folks at Calloway’s. Give them a visit and try one of their biscuits.
